for litreacy we are doing genre work and here is what we did this week

Genre conventions 

• Setting : locations 

         Landscape

• Events: . eg a crime (most often murder or theft)
• Roles: . eg detective, hobbits, dragons, aliens, robots, rebels, genralles 

Dramatic conventions 

• Nature of the protagnes 

Eg in western: romatasied 

• Nature of the antagnes 

• Shape of the dramatic action 

Intro,problem introduced, climax, conclusion 

Eg a gangsta story 

-Rise and fall of a leader 

-johnny one eye 

• The resolution 

Eg :in fantasy, we often have a positive ending for the protagnes 

eg in our gangster story, the ending is bad  

• Tone:

Eg horror: dark,gloomy,fearful

Eg action: heart pounding, thrilling, fast paced, energetic
